Introduction
I’m Wendy Lye, and I joined Biddlestone as a Social Prescribing Link Worker in December 2021.
What I Do
Social prescribing is about helping people with non-medical needs and giving practical and emotional support. As the name suggests, I help ‘link’ people to local community services and organisations.
How I Support Patients
I meet with people to discuss the issues they’re facing, what they would like to be doing, and together we set an achievable plan. We’ll then catch up regularly to see how things are progressing. This means people feel supported through the process, and I can offer advice and encouragement along the way.
